That concludes our coverage of the Champions League for tonight. After seven unsuccessful efforts, Arsenal has made it past the round of 16 once more. Their quarterfinal wait is now over.

The game-winning goal came from Galeno, who scored the incredible injury-time goal in the first leg. David Raya was the hero, saving two spot kicks, including the last one.

Arsenal’s next assignment is to travel to Manchester City, the Premier League leaders, to play the reigning champions.

“I’m overjoyed. For a team like Arsenal, 14 years is a long period, as Arteta stated to TNT Sports.

For me to be in the Champions League for the first time and for the club to be in the quarterfinals for the first time in a long time is a fantastic experience, Raya told TNT Sports.

“We dominated the game, generated opportunities, and played well. We had a rough game against Porto, who pressed us hard and made things difficult for us.

Of all people, Galeno missed the game-winning kick.

The man who misses the kick that sends Arsenal throwing is the one who scores a miraculous goal to split the scores in injury time in the opening game.

With each minute that went by, the game grew more silent.

Coaches are preparing both goalkeepers by reminding them which way the penaltytakers often go.

The pressure mounted and the game itself became unmanageable, with few opportunities left for either side.

Porto will be happy to be in the match despite Arsenal’s performance and home record.
